CAP 1001 MERCANTILE MARINE ASSISTANCE FUND ORDINANCE

For the establishment and administration of a Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund in Hong Kong. [13 October 1933] (Originally 24 of 1933 (Cap 119 R. Ed. 1950)) Cap 1001 s 1 Short title This Ordinance may be cited as the Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund Ordinance. Cap 1001 s 2 Establishment of the Fund A fund to be known as "The Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund of Hong Kong" shall be established and kept at the Treasury. Cap 1001 s 3 Maintenance of the Fund Remarks: Adaptation amendments retroactively made - see 61 of 2000 s. 3 (1) The said Fund shall be maintained by an appropriation thereto on the 1st day of April in each year from the general revenue of Hong Kong of such a sum as may be deemed by the Legislative Council sufficient for the requirements of the Fund during that year. (2) Any sum standing to the credit of the said Fund on the 31st day of March in any year shall be re-appropriated by the Director of Accounting Services to the general revenue of Hong Kong. (Amended L.N. 16 of 1977) (Amended 21 of 1947 s. 2; 61 of 2000 s. 3) Cap 1001 s 4 Administration of the Fund Remarks: Adaptation amendments retroactively made - see 61 of 2000 s. 3 (1) The said Fund shall be administered by a Committee, the chairman of which shall be the Director of Marine, and the other members of which shall be appointed by the Chief Executive. (2) The administration by the Committee shall be controlled by regulations made hereunder. The Chief Executive in Council shall have power to amend such regulations in any manner whatsoever.
