Transitional provisions The Second and Third Schedules to the principal Order, as in force immediately before 9 April 1996, shall apply to a licensed pilot who was qualified to undertake a Class IIA, IIB or IIC pilotage, as specified in that Second Schedule as so in force, before that date as if section 3 of this Order had never been enacted.". 2. The Second Schedule, as in force immediately before 9 April 1996, is reproduced below- "SECOND SCHEDULE [paragraph 5] CLASSES OF PILOTAGE Class Pilotage service IIC Pilotage of ships not exceeding 153 metres in length to and from buoys and anchorages at any time and the berthing and unberthing of ships not exceeding 153 metres in length to and from wharves, berths, docks and piers at any time. IIB Pilotage of ships not exceeding 168 metres in length to and from buoys and anchorages at any time and the berthing and unberthing of ships not exceeding 168 metres in length to and from wharves, berths, docks and piers at any time. IIA Pilotage of ships not exceeding 229 metres in length to and from buoys and anchorages at any time and the berthing and unberthing of ships not exceeding 229 metres in length to and from wharves, berths, docks and piers at any time. Cap 84C Sched 3 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE CLASSES OF PILOTAGE AND FOR AMENDMENT OF A LICENCE TO A HIGHER CLASS OF PILOTAGE [paragraph 6] Class of Pilotage Experience required IID (a) Pilotage of ships of not less than 107 metres and not more than 150 metres in length to or from buoys or anchorages on at least 10 occasions, of which at least 5 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. (b) Berthing and unberthing of ships of not less than 107 metres and not more than 150 metres in length from wharves, berths, docks or piers on at least 20 occasions, of which at least 10 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. IIC (a) A minimum of 12 months continuous experience in Class IID. (b) Pilotage of ships of not less than 150 metres and not more than 165 metres in length to or from buoys or anchorages on at least 10 occasions, of which at least 5 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. (c) Berthing and unberthing of ships of not less than 150 metres and not more than 165 metres in length from wharves, berths, docks or piers on at least 20 occasions, of which at least 10 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. IIB (a) A minimum of 12 months continuous experience in Class IIC. (b) Pilotage of ships of not less than 165 metres and not more than 220 metres in length to or from buoys or anchorages on at least 10 occasions, of which at least 5 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. (c) Berthing and unberthing of ships of not less than 165 metres and not more than 220 metres in length from wharves, berths, docks or piers on at least 20 occasions, of which at least 10 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. IIA (a) A minimum of 12 months continuous experience in Class IIB. (b) Pilotage of ships of not less than 220 metres and not more than 260 metres in length to or from buoys or anchorages on at least 10 occasions, of which at least 5 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise. (c) Berthing and unberthing of ships of not less than 220 metres and not more than 260 metres in length from wharves, berths, docks or piers on at least 20 occasions, of which at least 10 must commence during the hours between sunset and sunrise.
