[接上页] (3) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner- (a) revoke; or (b) suspend temporarily,the designation of any place or any part thereof as a taxi rank. Cap 556C s 12 Designation of bus stop and public light bus stand (1) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner, designate any area of road within a transport interchange as a bus stop or a public light bus stand for use by franchised buses or public light buses (as the case may be) by means of prescribed traffic signs or prescribed road markings. (2) A bus stop or public light bus stand designated under subsection (1) may be restricted for use by one or more routes operated by one or more operators. (3) Where a place is designated as a bus stop or public light bus stand under subsection (1), the Corporation shall require the operator of such route or routes to erect and maintain a sign at the bus stop or public light bus stand (as the case may be) specifying the operator and the route or routes. (4) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner- (a) revoke; or (b) suspend temporarily,a designation made under subsection (1). Cap 556C s 13 Designation of prohibited zones or restricted zones (1) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner, by means of prescribed traffic signs or prescribed road markings, designate any place within a transport interchange as- (a) a prohibited zone; or (b) a restricted zone.(2) A designation made under subsection (1)(a) may, absolutely, on specified days, during specified hours of any day, or during specified hours of any specified days, prohibit the driving of any vehicle or any specified class, type or description of vehicle into or within the prohibited zone. (3) A designation made under subsection (1)(b) may, absolutely, on specified days, during specified hours of any day, or during specified hours of any specified days, prohibit the driver of any vehicle or any specified class, type or description of vehicle from- (a) picking-up or setting-down passengers; or (b) loading or unloading luggage or goods, on any road within the restricted zone. (4) The Corporation shall cause a notice of any designation under subsection (1)(a) or (b) to be published in the Gazette, and any such designation shall become effective on the date of publication of the notice or such later date as may be specified in the notice. (5) The Corporation may issue a permit for a vehicle to be driven into or within a prohibited zone free of charge. (6) The Corporation may issue a permit for a vehicle to pick up or set down passengers, luggage or goods in a restricted zone free of charge. (7) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner- (a) revoke; or (b) suspend temporarily.a designation made under subsection (1)(a) or (b). (8) The Corporation shall cause a notice of any revocation made under subsection (7)(a) to be published in the Gazette, and any such revocation shall become effective on the date of publication of the notice in the Gazette or such later date as may be specified in the notice. Cap 556C s 14 Variation of speed limit (1) The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner, vary the speed limit imposed under section 40(1) of the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374) in respect of any section of a road within a transport interchange by means of prescribed traffic signs and revoke or amend such variation. (2) The Corporation shall cause a notice of any variation or revocation made under subsection (1) to be published in the Gazette. (3) A variation or revocation made under subsection (1) shall become effective on the date of publication of the notice in the Gazette or such later date as may be specified in the notice. Cap 556C s 15 Closure and suspension of operation of a transport interchange The Corporation may, with the prior approval of the Commissioner- (a) close; or (b) suspend temporarily the operation of,a transport interchange or any part thereof, including any road or facility therein. Cap 556C s 16 Acts may be done without prior approval of the Commissioner Where the Corporation having regard to the particular circumstances of a transport interchange or any part thereof, is of the opinion that it is necessary to do any act referred to in sections 5, 8(b), 9(1), 9(2), 9(4)(b), 10(3), 10(4), 10(6)(b), 11(1), 11(3)(b), 12(1), 12(4)(b), 13(1), 13(7)(b) and 15(b) immediately and it is impractical to obtain the prior approval of the Commissioner, the Corporation may do any of such acts without the prior approval of the Commissioner, but the Corporation shall notify the Commissioner and the Commissioner of Police of any act done under this section as soon as practicable. Cap 556C s 17 Appointment and identification of authorized persons (1) The Corporation may authorize any person as the Corporation thinks fit and proper to exercise any powers and perform any duties conferred or imposed upon the Corporation under this Regulation. (2) An authorized person on duty shall- (a) wear a uniform of a design approved by the Commissioner of Police; (b) carry such means of identity as may be approved by the Commissioner; (c) promptly produce his means of identity to any person who on reasonable grounds requests him to do so. Cap 556C s 18 No compensation is payable to the Corporation No compensation is payable by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to the Corporation for anything done or required to be done under or by virtue of any provision of this Regulation or any other regulations made under section 33 of the Ordinance which is for the benefit of the operation of the transport interchanges in serving the railway.
