[接上页] All persons in the toll area shall be subject to the control and direction of toll area control officers. Cap 474C s 5 Access No person shall enter or leave the toll area, or shall cause or permit any vehicle to do so, except at such places as may be provided by the Company for the purpose and be indicated by traffic signs. Cap 474C s 6 Directions of toll area control officers to be obeyed All persons in the toll area shall comply with the directions given by a toll area control officer in the course of his duty relating to the management of the toll area or the control, restriction and safety of traffic. Cap 474C s 7 Speed limit (1) Subject to subsection (2), the driver of a vehicle in the toll area shall not cause or permit the vehicle to travel at speed exceeding the speed indicated by a speed limit sign as prescribed by Figures No. 6, 7, 8 or, as the case may be, 9 in the Schedule. (2) Where a prescribed speed limit is in effect under this section and permits a vehicle to travel on any road within the toll area in excess of 70 km an hour, the maximum speed at which a medium goods vehicle, heavy goods vehicle or bus shall travel on such road shall be 70 km an hour. Cap 474C s 8 Lane changing The driver of a vehicle shall not, unless authorized to do so by a toll area control officer or by a traffic sign, cause or permit his vehicle or any part of it to be on or over or to cross the continuous double white lines dividing the tunnel area and the toll area into lanes. Cap 474C s 9 Meaning of traffic signs, light signals and road markings (1) The meaning of a prescribed traffic sign and prescribed light signal shall be in accordance with its content and the note relating to the figure of that sign or that signal in the Schedule. (2) The meaning of a traffic sign, light signal or road marking prescribed by the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Cap 374 sub. leg.) and the Road Traffic (Expressway) Regulations (Cap 374 sub. leg.) shall be in accordance with its content and the note relating to the figure of that sign, signal or marking in the Schedules to those regulations. Cap 474C s 10 Traffic signs, light signals and road markings to be obeyed The driver of a vehicle in the toll area shall comply with the requirement indicated by- (a) a prescribed traffic sign or prescribed light signal of the type shown in any of the figures in the Schedule; (b) such traffic signs, light signals or road markings prescribed by the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Cap 374 sub. leg.) and the Road Traffic (Expressway) Regulations (Cap 374 sub. leg.) erected, placed or otherwise displayed by the Company within the toll area pursuant to the powers vested in the Company under the regulations as the Company shall deem fit for the purpose of regulating traffic. Cap 474C s 11 Use of vehicle lights in tunnel Dipped headlights shall always be used inside the tunnel and no headlights illuminated on main beam shall be allowed. Cap 474C s 12 Traffic confined to the nearside lane and/or middle lane in tunnel (1) A goods vehicle having a permitted gross vehicle weight in excess of 5.5 tonnes shall, except when otherwise directed by a toll area control officer, be driven only in the nearside lane or middle lane inside the tunnel. (2) The following vehicles shall, except when otherwise directed by a toll area control officer, be driven only in the nearside lane inside the tunnel- (a) a bus; (b) a vehicle requiring a permit under section 21; (c) a vehicle to which section 22 applies; or (d) a vehicle towing another vehicle.(3) In subsection (1), "goods vehicles" (货车) has the same meaning as in the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374). Cap 474C s 13 General restrictions (1) Unless complying with a prescribed traffic sign, a prescribed light signal or with a direction given by a toll area control officer, no person shall- (a) in the tunnel area- (i) drive a vehicle at a speed of less than 25 km per hour except where prevented by another vehicle or at places where a speed of less than 25 km per hour is unavoidable; or (ii) make a U turn with or reverse a vehicle;(b) within the toll area (including the tunnel area)- (i) stop a vehicle or permit a vehicle to be stationary except- (A) when lawfully required to do so; (B) when compelled to do so by reason of an accident, breakdown or emergency or by the presence of other stationary vehicles; (C) in the case of a franchised bus, at a designated bus stop, and then only for so long a period as may be required for the passengers to get on or off the bus;(ii) alight from a vehicle except- (A) in the event of an emergency or to summon assistance; (B) for the purpose of complying with section 14; (C) in the case of a franchised bus, at a designated bus stop; (D) when engaged on duty relating to the toll area;(iii) change a tyre or wheel on, or refuel or repair, a vehicle; (iv) tow or propel a vehicle by pulling or pushing that vehicle, whether manually or by any other means; |
