(Cap 463 section 12) [1 April 1995] (L.N. 59 of 1995) Cap 463A s 1 (Omitted as spent) (Omitted as spent) (Enacted 1995) Cap 463A s 2 Sewage charges (1) Subject to subsection (2), for the purposes of section 3(1) of the Ordinance, the prescribed rate shall be $1.20 per cubic metre of water supplied, other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes. (2) For a trade, business or manufacture listed in the Schedule, the amount charged under section 3(1) of the Ordinance shall be equal to 70% of the volume of water supplied, other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes, multiplied by the rate prescribed under this section. (L.N. 143 of 1995) (Enacted 1995)_________________________________________________________________________________ Note: The amount of sewage charge payable pursuant to this section shall be reduced in respect of- (a) the period commencing on 1 April 2002 and ending on 31 March 2003 (please see sections 2(2) and 5 of the Revenue (Variation and Reduction of Fees and Charges) Order 2002 (Cap 2 sub. leg. R); (b) bills scheduled to be issued within the period commencing on 1 August 2003 and ending on 30 November 2003 (please see sections 1 to 3 of the Sewage Services (Reduction of Sewage Charge and Trade Effluent Surcharge) Regulation 2003 (L.N. 131 of 2003)). Cap 463A s 3 Reduction of sewage charge by Drainage Authority For the purposes of section 9(1)(d) of the Ordinance, no sewage charge shall be reduced, waived or refunded unless the volume of wastewater being discharged into a communal drain or communal sewer is not more than 85% of the volume of water on which the sewage charge is based. (Enacted 1995) Cap 463A s 4 Transitional Sewage charges shall not be collected in respect of water supplied during a billing period under the Waterworks Ordinance (Cap 102) which period commenced before the day the Sewage Services Ordinance (Cap 463) comes into operation.
